Franklin Silver Dollar Set Features: Honors Benjamin Franklin - issued in 2006 by the United States Mint, these silver dollars honor Benjamin Franklin on the 300th anniversary of his birth Founding Father design - depicts Franklin as one of America's "Founding Fathers" chess franklin mint set and features a familiar image of Franklin in his later years.  The image is based on a bust originally executed by French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon in 1778.  The reverse of this coin features a replica of a 1776 Continental Currency dollar, in honor of Franklin's contributions to the development of our Nation's coinage chess franklin mint set and currency.
